Overview
A cover story shot on pine needles.
Pine & Post needed a cover and an opener film for its slow-living issue. We took one subject, one stylist and one camera into the forest above Lake Arrowhead for two dawn sessions.
Fog did what no lighting truck could: it wrapped every frame in soft, directionless glow that needed almost no grade.
Approach
Available light, deliberate pace.
No flash, no reflectors larger than a jacket. We walked, watched where the fog broke, and shot in twenty-minute bursts when the light turned. The motion piece is cut entirely to the subject's own breathing.
