Overview

A coastline portrait in eleven flying days.

The Harbour Trust preserves working fishing ports threatened by development. We traced three of them from the air — dawn launches, net-mending afternoons, storms rolling over the breakwater.

All flights were licensed, insured and cleared with harbourmasters; ground interviews were recorded by our documentary fixers between tides.

Approach

Fly like a gull, not a missile.

Slow lateral moves, long lenses from altitude, and endless patience for weather windows. The film's signature shot — a two-minute unbroken harbour crossing at dusk — took four mornings to catch.
