The Finer Details of Harrow Lane

The Harrow & Lane harvest festival wanted campaign imagery with the patience of film. We shot the entire series on two medium-format bodies — forty frames a day, every one of them considered.

Wheat, hands, linen and low sun: the series ran on posters, programmes and a barn-wall exhibition that drew four thousand visitors.

Film forces honesty — twelve shots per roll means directing with intent. We cast two real farmhands instead of models and let the festival's own light do the styling.
