Overview

One night, one stage, eleven cameras.

Velvet Tone asked for a concert film that felt like being in the front row — sweat, feedback and all. We staged a single invited-audience night at the Fonda Theatre and covered it with eleven locked and roaming cameras.

The challenge was light: a touring rig built for arenas, not lenses. Sofia re-plotted the whole plot for camera exposure, trading strobes for tungsten chases the sensors could love.

Approach

Shoot the rehearsal like the show.

We filmed the full dress rehearsal with the same camera plan, then cut the rehearsal against the live night — the edit hides six angle changes the audience never noticed. The result premiered at the gallery and now opens the band's tour visuals.

  • — 11-camera live plan with timecode sync
  • — Lighting re-plot for cinema exposure
  • — 48-hour turnaround first cut
